Young @ Heart

“O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me.” – Psalm 71:17–18

The Young at Heart Ministry exists to serve those who are primarily 60 years and older — but of course, everyone is welcome! The more, the merrier.

Our group meets twice a month (1st and 3rd Thursdays) for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and growth. During our gatherings, we enjoy singing together and being uplifted through God’s Word, often shared by guest speakers. In addition to spiritual encouragement, we invite speakers who offer practical guidance on topics relevant to this season of life—such as setting up wills, avoiding banking scams, making end-of-life arrangements, and preparing for or navigating retirement.

We also love to travel and explore! Whether it’s a day trip or an overnight adventure, we’ve visited many wonderful places including Branson, MO; Pigeon Forge and Nashville, TN; Dallas–Fort Worth and San Antonio, TX; Mackinac Island, MI; Bell City, TN; and various locations across Kentucky. We enjoy touring historic sites, museums, musicals, and plays together.

And of course — as a church family — we love to eat! Nearly every time we gather, we share a meal and great conversation.

Whether you’re looking for fellowship, spiritual growth, new friendships, or a fun trip, we’d love to have you join us. Come to one of our monthly meetings or hop on board for one of our upcoming bus trips.

If you have any questions, feel free to call the church office and ask for Jamey
