We are simply a group of Christians in Paducah, Kentucky who come together to glorify the Lord through our worship and service to others. We understand that we are saved by His grace according to Ephesians 2:8-9. When we as a body of believers come together to encourage one another, we pray and hope that you are encouraged by worshiping the Lord with us at LOCC.
Come on In!
You will enter our building from Lone Oak Road and our main front glass doors face the parking lot. This is where you enter the building for worship. There will be someone to greet you and answer any questions you may have about our worship time or Bible classes. We have coffee and donuts that start at 8:45 if you would like to join us for this time of fellowship.
What is worship like?
At Lone Oak our worship services have
- A cappella singing
- The partaking of communion each Sunday
- Prayers
- A lesson from God’s word
Our service lasts approximately one hour. On occasion it could run over. If you choose to participate in the communion time please pick up one of our communion cups on the round table as you enter the auditorium. Contribution is given in person and online for those who would like to contribute.
We have a nursery that is staffed the entire worship service if you need assistance. All moms are welcome to use the nursery for nursing a new baby, changing a diaper or to rock a baby for nap time. The nursery is located down the hall to the right of the auditorium.
What about kids?
If your little one is being a little busy we have a training room available to use if you need it. The room is located on the far right side of the auditorium.
We offer Children’s Bible Hour on Sunday mornings after our time of communion. CBH is for preschool through third grade. Normally kids and parents/guardians meet in the lobby during the singing right before the minister’s lesson. Once checked in, they will be escorted to the Grove area.
What should I wear?
You may be asking yourself, “What I can wear to worship?” There is no dress code. We have people who choose to dress in suits, ties and dresses to those who dress casually wearing t-shirts and jeans. We want everyone to feel welcome no matter what they wear.
Who can I talk to?
If you would like for someone to pray with you just ask someone, and they will pray with you or they may find one of the ministers or Shepherds.
What happens after worship services?
We have Bible Classes for all ages after our worship. We would love to have you stay for one of our classes. Nursery – 5th grade will need to be checked in on the computer to the right of the front doors.
