Jamey has worked at Lone Oak since 1997 after graduating from Harding. Initially, he contributed as a youth minister for 25 years and currently fulfills the role of Connections Minister. He is married to Tammie who he met at Harding, and together they have three wonderful sons: Jeremiah (who is married to Aria), Elijah, and Lucas (who is married to Bella). His diverse responsibilities include serving as the Young at Heart Minister, overseeing Life Groups, and managing office tasks. He also jokingly describes himself as the "Head Cook and Bottle Washer," always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. Called to ministry at a young age, Jamey has a genuine passion for serving the congregation at LOCC. Beyond his work at Lone Oak, he volunteers with the Lone Oak Lions Club and participates on the board of directors at Western Kentucky Youth Camp. In his free time on Saturdays in the fall you will find Jamey watching his beloved Oklahoma Sooners play football.
ClosePaul has been preaching the Word at Lone Oak since 2008. He married the love of his life, Lisa, in 1984. They have four grown children (all boys) and two precious grandchildren (both boys). The saying around their house is: "Boys R Us." Paul believes God makes this life better, and that He makes eternal life something that no one should miss. He strives in his preaching to point one toward Jesus and the blessings and benefits of being in a relationship with Him.
CloseAmy Horstman has served as the custodian for the Lone Oak Church of Christ
since 2018, continuing a deep-rooted family legacy of service to the church. Her personal history with the congregation began in November 1985, the same year her mother first took on the custodial duties. The tradition was continued by her brother around 1995, and later by her father in 2009, making Amy the latest in a line of Horstmans dedicated to the church's care. In addition to her custodial work, Amy brings a passion for the outdoors to her position. She is a graduate of Murray State University, holding a degree in Agriculture with an emphasis in Horticulture. Her love for gardening and landscaping has also led to part-time work in yards and gardens over the years. Amy is a devoted mother to her daughter, Emilie Horstman, who is also an active and beloved member of the church community. Considering the family's long history of service, maybe Emilie might continue the legacy in the future.
Blessed with fond memories of wonderful Bible class teachers, including her loving mother, Amy feels at home preparing lessons and nurturing hearts. She obtained a bachelor's degree from Lubbock Christian University and two master's degrees from Murray State University. After 26 years of experience working in the public school system, with twelve of those years in administration, Amy was led by the Spirit to fill the position of Children's Minister. Much work had previously been accomplished to renovate a new wing dedicated for the Grove Kids ministry. She looks forward to carrying that work forward, organizing curriculum and events, as well as inspiring others to use their God given talents to minister to the children in the church and community. Amy has been married to an amazing husband, Tim Perdue for almost 30 years. She has raised 3 outstanding children; Landon, Pierson, and Allyn. The Lord continues to grow her family with the addition of a wonderful daughter-in law, Grace, and son-in-law, Matthew. She is a proud, first-time grandmother to Finnagan Paul, and can't wait to share the Good News with him and future generations. Her favorite Bible verse is Deuteronomy 29:29.
CloseDee Mays has been a part of the staff at Lone Oak church of Christ as an administrative assistant since 2009. Her journey with the church, however, began much earlier, as she became a committed member in August 2000, following her baptism on September 4, 1991, at the Flatwoods church of Christ. A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Dee has spent her life committed to both her family and her faith. For 35 years, she has been married to her husband, Tim Mays, and together, they have built a beautiful family that includes three children and seven beloved grandchildren.
CloseMarsha has been an Administrative Assistant at LOCC since June 2024. Working in finance takes up the majority of her work day, but she enjoys assisting members with various needs also. She has worked in administration for many years, but finds this position the most fulfilling of all! She says "Just to be able to help someone or put a smile on their face is very rewarding." In her spare time, she loves to bake for family & friends.
CloseSam is enthusiastic about serving as the youth minister at Lone Oak Church of Christ. Originally from Sevierville, Tennessee, he feels grateful for the strong foundation in faith and community he was blessed to receive while growing up in the church. Sam graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and plans to pursue ongoing academic growth. He and his fiancée, Lea, are delighted to be calling Paducah their home and look forward to building meaningful relationships with the youth and their families.
